  First Various Artists features 4 of the label's regular artists, each providing us with a taste of their latest work.
  Still smarting from the success of their previous release on the label, the wonderful 'Shiver's Hole' EP, and reveling in the support of DJ's such as Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Onur Ozer, Ashley Beedle and Terrence Dixon. Plus, seeing the EP, off the strength of its heavily supported 'Sun Splash' track, feature in Groove Magazine's 'Top 50' chart, the pair could not be in hotter form. Their offering today is the excellent 'Cheri'. A modern percussive, tribal workout, the tracks main components are its deep throbbing drums, all held together by its entrapping groove. A wonderfully funky tool to keep the set rolling along. Next up are the incredibly talented teens Pietro Caprioglio and Pedro Bortoluzzi... better known to us as Autre. Hailing from Venezia, the duo's take on electronic music is mixture of fresh technical wizardry and live instrumental jazz. Both talented musicians in their own right, the pair's compositions come via live 'Jam' sessions which, once recorded, are tinkered with and edited into what you hear on wax. Their previous release the 'Unheard Melodies' EP, met with critical acclaim, and found support from Loco Dice, Livio & Roby and Nima Gorji. Today's track from Autre is 'Closing Outdoor Session', a homage to the wonderful parties the pair have played throughout the summer. Stunning live instrumentation, is crafted, and sculpted into a genial piece of house. Brilliant drum and hi-hat work, is countered by a beautifully laid-back yet equally crazy sax line, and sparkling Rides. Fantastic stuff, and a pure hands in the air track for your floors. AeN are Roman pair Nicolo Petruccioli & Alberto Pelosio. The fresh new duo, who take their influences from the oldskool US house legends are steadily making a name for themselves in today's scene. With releases already appearing on labels including Black Rose Records and Multivitiamins, and with their 'Chicago-Strictly' feel, this pairing are set for a great future. 'Una Tantum' sees AeN drop a disco bassline bomb. Taking us back i the day, with its squeeky sax, and key stabs, its a definite crowd pleaser, and a track that will get the whole floor groovin. Finally, and rounding out the package is another young Italian duo, DOSlive. Gianpiero 'Principe' Fusco and Francesco 'Frankie' Mami have been rapidly building a reputation for their exciting and inventive 'live' DJ act. Today they make their label debut with 'Avvocata', a solid, driving number, with tribal beats and a traditional vocal. A fine track to round out the package.
